Super simple stock in a slow cooker! I make this recipe once a week and use it in place of store bought chicken stock (which is VERY high in salt and always makes me thirsty). I portion out the stock into jars and freeze them until I need a cup or two in my stews, soups, risottos and gravies. It tastes lovely and is incredibly good for your gut health.

  1. It looks very orange? Do you strain the vegetables through the sieve to get that colour? Or do you discard to have a clear broth? How do you not let the 5 litres of water to evaporate? Just keep the lid on the whole time?
