Hidden veg in a brownie!? Ahh, yes please! These fudgy, dense slices are the perfect guilt free snack that hide pumpkin and chickpeas. Made in just 15 minutes, they’re perfect for adults and kids alike and they’ll last in the fridge for up to a week (if you can keep hands away from them that long!).
I use @mayversfood peanut butter for all my cooking. It’s smooth, creamy and tastes amazing.

CHOCOLATE PUMPKIN + CHICKPEA BARS:
½ cup wholemeal plain flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 x 400g can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
¼ cup good quality peanut butter @mayversfood
⅓ cup maple syrup or honey
1 cup pumpkin, finely grated
¼ cup dark chocolate chips @lindt_australia
Preheat oven to 175°C. In a food processor, add all ingredients (except chocolate chips) and process until batter is smooth. Remove blade and fold in chocolate chips. Transfer batter to a lined 20cm x 20cm baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes. Allow to cool before removing and slicing.
